About 1529 Champ Fleury Pro (Set) Font Free Download

In 1529, Geofroy Tory, a renowned French scholar, engraver, printer, publisher and poet, put out the renowned Champ Fleury. The handbook was printed in Paris by Gilles de Gourmond and gave instructions on how to draw Roman characters. The font used for the text was far from elegant, being quite rough and ready, but was known for its Capital letters.

Designs. We are now offering two complete historical type sets, with an added bonus: we have drawn the absent characters – J, U and W, Eth, Lslash, Thorn and Oslash – in two original forms. The 1529 Champ Fleury Regular font now contains all the characters.

For West European (including Celtic), Baltic, East and Central European and Turkish languages. The 1529 Champ Fleury Init set contains two complete alphabets that have been painstakingly crafted to match the original illustrations as closely as possible.
