Univers is a sans-serif typeface designed by Adrian Frutiger in 1957. The design is based on the Akzidenz-Grotesk typeface that Frutiger had observed while working at the Haas’sche Schriftgiesserei in Switzerland.Univers has a uniform set of line widths and is therefore highly legible. The typeface is used extensively in both body text and display applications.
