Hanley Pro Font Collection Free Download
A Hanley Pro Font Collection free download is not something District 62 Studio offers: the collection is a commercial product, and neither of its main official stores lists a demo, trial or personal-use version. What it sells is a ready-made kit for vintage-style labels and badges: a bold connected script, block, sans and condensed styles, plus catchwords and ornaments, all drawn to work together.
Hanley Pro Font Collection free download: your legal options
We checked the two main official listings in October 2026. Neither offers a free file. Creative Market mentions “trial fonts” only as part of its enterprise licensing service.
- Creative Market: Desktop $99 per seat; Webfont $99 (shown $84.15); E-pub $599; App $792.
- MyFonts: the complete family of 23 fonts for $99, or individual styles from $5.
The MyFonts per-style option is the closest thing to a low-cost entry. If you only need the script for one logo, you can license that style alone and add others later. The Creative Market bundle adds material MyFonts does not mention: according to the listing, 49 bonus logos in Illustrator format, the Illustrator files for the preview images and a read-me on reaching special characters.

A script with a supporting cast
The Script is the headline style. In the specimen we rendered from the licensed files, it is a slanted, connected script with a fairly even, pen-like stroke and round, generous curves. Capitals open with curled entry strokes, which shows most in the H, P, F and C. The T has a curved, wavy top bar. Letters link smoothly in words such as “Collection”, and the figures and punctuation lean to match.
The other styles in our copy, shown in the styles image, are built to sit under or around that script:
- Block and Block Inline: sturdy serifed capitals with a small-caps lowercase. The inline version has a white line running through each stroke. A separate Block Inline Only style, going by its name, carries just that line, so it can be layered in a second colour.
- Sans, Sans Inline and Sans Line: a heavy all-caps sans, an inline version, and a thin version that looks best with wide letter-spacing.
- Slim, Slim Bold, Slim Serif and Slim Serif Bold: narrow capitals for taglines and fine print, with or without small serifs.
- Monoline: a thin, single-weight relative of the script.
- Extras 1: ready-set catchwords such as FROM, AND, WITH, THE, FOR, ESTD, INC. and CO., several framed in tabs or banners.
- Extras 2: dividers, flourishes, small frames and decorative rules.
Our copy versus the current 23-font product
The files we examined contain 14 styles, all OTF, version 1.000, with 595 glyphs in the Script. The font files credit Megan Tamaccio and Aleksandar Veljasevic. The product on sale today is larger. MyFonts lists 23 fonts, adding Script Alt, Italic, a Sans Two group and four Sans Wide styles. The Creative Market listing describes “10 New Exclusive Font Styles including an alternate script and italic”, says the block styles now include a full set of small caps, and dates the product to 27 October 2020. If you buy now, expect more styles than our specimens show.
Languages and OpenType features
Our files cover Basic Latin, Western European and Central and Eastern European characters. The Creative Market listing says all styles have extended foreign-language support.
The Script is rich in OpenType features:
- Standard ligatures replace certain letter pairs with joined forms automatically.
- Discretionary ligatures are extra joins you turn on by choice.
- Stylistic alternates and nine stylistic sets swap letters for other versions, either one at a time or in themed groups.
- Swashes give letters longer entry or exit strokes, useful on the first and last letters of a word.
- Ornaments, fractions and kerning handle decorative glyphs, proper fractions and pair spacing.
You reach these in Illustrator, InDesign or Photoshop through the Glyphs and OpenType panels, and Affinity Designer and Figma expose stylistic sets too. In the files we examined, no glyphs were mapped to the Private Use Area (PUA), so in our copy the alternates need an OpenType-capable app. The current listing describes “21 PUA encoded font files”, which suggests the newer version adds PUA codes for Canva and Cricut users. Building a vintage logo with Hanley Pro
The collection is made for layered, badge-style identities: coffee roasters, barbershops, craft breweries, bakeries, farm shops, sports teams and merchandise. A typical stack is the Script for the name, Block or Slim for the tagline, a catchword such as ESTD from Extras 1 and a divider from Extras 2. Keep the Script for short words; it is not a text face.
For paragraphs on a website or menu, add a separate text font. Libre Baskerville suits a traditional look, Open Sans stays neutral, and Barlow Condensed echoes the narrow Slim styles if you need more weights.
Licence basics for logos, merch and web
Neither official store offers a free personal licence, so even a hobby project needs a paid one. On Creative Market, the listing’s common uses for the Desktop licence include logo design, print media, merchandise and images for social media. Webfont, E-pub and App licences cover websites, digital publications and software. MyFonts applies its own licence types per style or per family. A Hanley Pro Font Collection free download from an unofficial site has no licence at all, which is a real risk for a logo you plan to trademark or print on products. This is general information, not legal advice.
Installing a multi-style family
- Windows: select the OTF files you want, right-click and choose Install.
- Mac: select the files, double-click, and click Install in Font Book.
With this many styles, install only the ones you use, or keep them in a dedicated Font Book collection. Restart your design app afterwards.
Dancing Script, Allura and Tangerine: free stand-ins
If you came looking for a Hanley Pro Font Collection free download because of budget, these Google Fonts are free and licensed for commercial use. They replace the script only, not the block, sans or extras. Our comparison image shows the gap:
- Dancing Script is casual and bouncy like Hanley’s Script, but lighter, with more stroke contrast and a narrower build. It is the most practical free swap.
- Allura is a formal, thin calligraphic script with a strong slant. It looks like wedding stationery rather than a shop sign.
- Tangerine is narrow and delicate with a very small x-height, so it needs to be set much larger to match Hanley’s presence.
