Hello Paris Font Free Download

There is no official Hello Paris free download: Hello Paris is a commercial serif-and-script duo by Angga Suwista, sold by his foundry Sans And Sons, and we could not find a free or personal-use version on any official channel. The good news is that it is not expensive, and the cheapest bundle already covers most invitation and logo work.

The serif half is the one most people come for. It is an all-caps display serif with a hidden second mode: the Shift key turns plain capitals into long, looping swash capitals.

Hello Paris free download: what you can get legally

We searched the publisher’s MyFonts page, the Creative Market listing and a Creative Market interview with the designer. None mentions a demo or free personal-use file, so any free copy online is unofficial and comes without a licence.

On MyFonts the family has six styles: Hello Paris Serif in Extra Light, Light, Regular, Medium and Bold, plus Hello Paris Script. Prices listed there when we checked (15 October 2026):

Two ways to type with Hello Paris Serif

The first thing to know about this font is how the keyboard behaves. In the Serif file we rendered, the lowercase keys give clean, plain capitals, and the uppercase keys give decorated swash capitals. Type “Hello Paris” with normal capitalisation and you get what the specimen above shows: a swash H whose tail sweeps back under the word, a swash P whose bowl loops up over its neighbour, and plain letters everywhere else.

That makes the font easy to control. Type a whole name in lowercase for a calm, classical line, then add a single Shift-key capital where you want a flourish. Typing everything in capitals is the mistake to avoid: every letter becomes a swash, and the tails collide.

Design and character

The plain capitals have high contrast: firm vertical stems, hairline horizontals and very small, sharp serifs. O and Q are close to perfect circles, the Q’s tail is a long hairline, and the M is wide and stately. The overall effect is light and airy, closer to engraved stationery than to a newspaper headline.

The swash set is where the personality is. Most swash capitals add a long hairline stroke: a tail that sweeps under the baseline or a loop that enters from the left. A few, such as the V, reshape the whole letter into one sweeping curve. Because those hairlines are thin, give swash letters room and size: they look best at large display sizes, printed cleanly or shown on a sharp screen.

The designer told Creative Market that Hello Paris was the first release from his Sans & Sons shop, and that adding ligatures to both the serif and the script “instantly make words feel more unique” (interview).

What’s in the Hello Paris package

• Two fonts in our files: Hello Paris Serif and Hello Paris Script, each as OTF and TTF.
• Not variable: the listing calls it a “Variable Duo” and the designer describes a weight slider in his interview, but the files we have are standard static fonts with no variable axis. If the slider matters to you, ask the seller which files the current download includes.
• 176 glyphs in the Serif: two sets of capitals, figures and punctuation.
• Script: the publisher describes it as a signature-style script with upper and lowercase, over 50 ligatures and over 50 alternates. We did not render the script for this page.

Language support and OpenType features

The Serif covers basic Latin only. We found no accented letters, so it cannot set French words such as “café” or “élégance” correctly, which is worth knowing for a font with Paris in its name. English names, dates and short phrases are fine.

Two OpenType features are built in. Kerning evens out the spacing between letter pairs and works almost everywhere. Standard ligatures swap certain letter pairs for a joined design automatically in apps that support them, such as Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Affinity and Figma.

The font also maps 18 characters to the Private Use Area (PUA). These are extra glyphs with their own code points, so apps without OpenType support can still reach them. In Canva or Cricut Design Space, open Character Map (Windows) or Font Book (Mac), copy the character and paste it into your design. Since the swash capitals already sit on the uppercase keys, most Canva and Cricut users can get the decorative look without that step.

Best uses and pairings

• Wedding invitations and save-the-dates: names in plain capitals with one swash initial
• Logos for boutiques, bakeries, florists and beauty brands
• Product labels, candle and cosmetic packaging
• Monograms, where a single swash capital does the work

The included Script is the obvious partner for a name or a word like “and”. For small supporting text, a light sans such as Montserrat or Jost keeps the page quiet; for a softer serif body, try Cormorant Garamond. The designer also sells a separate family, Hello Paris Sans, made to sit alongside it.

Licensing: personal vs commercial use

A paid licence from MyFonts or Creative Market covers the use described in that store’s licence, and the two stores have different terms. Typical desktop licences cover print, social posts and logos; web embedding, apps and very large print runs often need an extra licence. • Mac: double-click each OTF and click Install in Font Book.

Free alternatives to Hello Paris

If you were hoping for a Hello Paris free download for a personal project, these Google Fonts are genuinely free. None has swash capitals, but each covers part of what the Hello Paris font does:

• Fraunces: a soft, slightly quirky serif with a full lowercase. It is much heavier and warmer than Hello Paris, and it is a true variable font, so you get the weight slider for free.
• Bodoni Moda: the closest in contrast, with thin hairlines and strong stems. It is more formal and also variable, though it has nothing like the swash set.
• Libre Baskerville: sturdier and lower in contrast, built for reading. Use it for body copy next to a display face rather than as a replacement.
